Maia has graduated from Coromandel Area School and would like to study marine science.  She joined the taiohi to train to dive, is a tuakana with Ngā Wai Tāpara at Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki and has a passion to work with rangatahi.  Maia was raised at her papakāinga at Manaia, fluent in te reo Māori and have a passion for the outdoors, including diving, hunting, fishing, and motor sports to name a few.
